Effective immediately, the following rules apply to all dancers ages 13+ :

   1.    No Parents in the Studio During Class:

Unless specifically invited, dancers should be dropped off and picked up without parental presence in the studio or rehearsal space. This is to minimize distractions and promote independence.

   2.    All Communication Goes Through the Dancer/Student First:

Dancers must take initiative in communicating with their teachers/studio staff regarding absences, questions, or concerns.

   3.    Respect for Teacher/Instructor Authority is Non-Negotiable:

All instructional decisions - including but not limited to class content, casting, corrections, or placements - are made thoughtfully by trained professionals and are not open to debate. We ask dancers and parents alike to refrain from questioning the teacher’s determinations and artistic choices, unless there is a safety or personal concern.

   4.    Respect Between Dancers/Students is Mandatory:

We understand that not all students may form friendships, but all are expected to be respectful of each other. There is ZERO TOLERANCE for judging, excluding, mocking, or bullying another student. Any student who feels disrespected/uncomfortable is encouraged to discuss the situation with their teacher.

   5.    No Unsolicited Parent Feedback or Involvement:

Parents are asked to refrain from mediating conflicts, requesting special accommodations, or getting involved in peer issues. Students may discuss with their teacher on how to navigate the situation of concern, of which teachers may then make the decision to involve any parents if thought necessary.

   6.    Accountability is Expected:

Dancers are responsible for being on time, dressed appropriately, and fully engaged in class.

   7.    No Parent Coaching or Side Conversations About Class Content:

Parents are not permitted to coach, critique, or discuss class material, choreography, or teacher decisions with their child in a way that undermines the instructor. This leads to confusion and negatively impacts the student’s growth and confidence.

   8.    Zero Tolerance for Parent Gossip or Drama:

Gossip, drama, or passive-aggressive behavior — whether toward staff, other parents, or students — is not welcome in or around our studio. We are here to create a healthy and positive environment for our students. All parent disputes must be managed off-premise of the studio, between the respective parties.

   9.    No Contacting Teachers Outside Approved Channels:

All communication with instructors must go through the front desk or official studio communication platforms. No direct messaging, texting, or social media contact is allowed unless pre-approved for a specific purpose.

   10.    Studio Decisions Are Final:

The studio’s policies, artistic decisions, and disciplinary actions are final. While we welcome respectful feedback, we do not engage in back-and-forth negotiations with parents over decisions made in the best interest of the program and its dancers.
